Owl babies

After listening to the story ‘Owl babies’ Abbotsbury Explorers collected feathers, made a nest, chose eggs, and fed their babies worms. A walk around Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens involved waving at themselves in the giant mirror ball, climbing, playing pooh sticks, weaving in and out of bamboo, feeding the fish and making leaf angels. After lunch the children made owls out of pine cones, cotton wool and paper.

As the weather turned colder during the week, children found ice to smash using a mallet, mashing ‘snow’ and making footprints in the snow.
