Locked out!

Arriving at the playground for a play and picnic imagine the children’s faces when the gates were locked and we couldn’t get in. After checking there was no danger and the playground had not been closed, there was nothing else to do but climb over the gate. Fortunately for us a tractor arrived a bit later to cut the grass and unlocked the padlocks for our exit.

At the allotments this week we used mallets to press flowers and make patterns on material (hapa zome), had a boat race made out of orange peel, tried to make orange juice by squeezing the oranges, tasted our first crop of broad beans, and climbed on and in tunnels.

In the garden we made a ball slide and a ball pit for the babies.

Throughout the week the children have been practicing how to sign for ‘more’.
