Using their listening ears the children went on a listening moment. Identifying the different vehicle noises (mainly cars) they were delighted when the double decker bus turned up. Later we played a game with letter shapes that represented some sounds, helping the children to tune into sounds.
To celebrate World book day some children enjoyed ‘reading’ their favourite books in the purposefully created book corner. At the allotments they found a stick and acted out Stick Man.
Threading pasta onto skewers stuck in playdough proved a popular activity, and so did the small world pirate tray, stickle bricks, cutting and sticking, building bridges and planting beans.
