We had perfect weather for our end of term party. Activities children participated in included a bug hunt, chalk bashing, peeling carrots, popping bubbles, and clay. Clay is a great natural modelling material, and can be combined with things that children find outdoors to make fascinating creations. Playing with the tactile material is good for fine motor control and developing the muscles needed for handwriting.
After presenting the gifts and learning journeys to the children moving on we lit the fire to toast marshmallows and feasted on Marj’s home made pizza.
