Christmas activities continued this week with the children’s enthusiasm not wavering. Making Christmas cards, decorating the Christmas tree, sorting Christmas shaped pasta into baskets, and icing their Christmas cakes were just some of the activities offered. The children have also been busy practicing acting out our Christmas story.

Preparations for Christmas started in earnest at the Pre-school this week. The children painted plant pots and planted bulbs for their Christmas box. Planting bulbs and smashing ice were just two of the different outside activities the children enjoyed this week. Practicing their fine motor skills by matching the coloured spots to the pipe cleaners and pushing them into the cardboard helped children develop colour recognition as well. Lots of spot themed crafts and activities for the children to get involved with were offered this week including, design Pudsey, finger paint spots on the bandana, painting conkers, and using pom poms for the spots.
