This week we launched our new adventure, Abbotsbury Explorers. Once a fortnight Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens and Abbotsbury Swannery have invited the Pre-school to explore their wonderful attractions. Our first visit to the gardens this week was a huge success. As we walked around the children explored the environment with enthusiasm. They found lots of wild garlic, identifying it by smell, ladybirds and spiders hidden in the grass, and water to splash in the fountain (but no pennies). After a picnic lunch some children completed a colour hunt, whilst others rested.
At the allotments there was lots to do this week. Digging for carrots and planting broad beans kept the children busy.
With a dry day forecast we headed off to the park for the morning on Thursday. We had our snack there and also took some cars and animals to add an extra dimension to the children’s play.
What a busy week back!
