Admissions
Chesil Bank Pre-school run morning and afternoon or Full day Pre-school sessions on Monday – Thursday.
Early start sessions (where children arrive at 9am) are available every day for those families that need this facility.
Lunch time sessions are also available daily.
Session Times:
- Full Day 9.30 - 3.30
- Early Start 9am available to children attending the Full Day or Morning session.
- Morning Session 9.30 - 12.30
- Lunch Club 12 - 1pm
- Afternoon sessions 12.30 - 3.30pm
Prices per session:
For those children too young to be funded by Dorset Council, and who do not qualify for two year old funding it is £15 per session.
The Pre-School Day
A typical pre-school day incorporates short, teacher-led activities in groups and free play. Activities are set up in the playrooms and in the gardens for the children and they can move freely between them in play sessions.
Time Table
A typical pre-school session would follow a timetable like the one below:
9:30am - Children arrive, hang up their coats and bags and enter the playrooms for play
10:15am - Circle time/Snack time.
11:15am - Forest school/Allotments/ Free play between indoors and outdoors.
12 - Lunchtime
12:30pm - Home time for some children
12.30 - Afternoon session begins. Play indoors and outdoors – one adult-initiated activity – lots of child-initiated learning and play.
2.45pm - Circle time/Snack time
3.30pm - Home time
