Some children have been challenging themselves to push and roll tyres. Utilising their upper and lower body strength and core muscles to push, roll and lift the tyres, the children’s gross motor skills are tested. Trying different strategies to push the tyre and keep it upright, some pushed it from behind while others pushed it from the side. Rolling conkers down tubes proved to be a little less challenging.
At the play park this week the children searched for dandelions and daisies, ‘climbed mountains’ and rescued each other from falling down the slide.
Getting caught in a few heavy showers prompted us to do a bit of floating and sinking at the allotments. Children also enjoyed playing at the space ship small world table and making fruit kebabs.
