Chesil Bank Pre-school are proud to be part of the church festival where each display depicts an aspect of Abbotsbury life. The children made flowers out of different kinds of construction pieces, chose welly boots to display them in and decorated a banner with glitter and tissue paper.
To celebrate the 1,000 years ‘past, present, and future’ the fabulous tapestry, material dyed by the children, and stitched by residents of Abbotsbury for the millennium celebrations will also be displayed on Sunday.
Abbotsbury explores had a very wet day at the subtropical gardens, but this did not dampen our spirits. Trying to catch raindrops with our tongues, completing a challenging obstacle course, and taking shelter under giant leaves made the day memorable.
Examining butterflies that were once caterpillars, the children were excited to free them into the garden. Although a little sad to see them go, the children waved goodbye, and hoped they would come back to visit.
