This outdoor play activity involved children collecting leaves and painting them with bright colours. We had previously painted with the leaves but this time we painted on the leaves! Painting on the leaves provides a new sensory experience as children make marks on the texture of the leaf.
Using cardboard cartons Marj had given us the children made a long line across the floor. Great fun was had as they used them as stepping stones, balancing beams and running across bridges.
Practising their fine physical skills the children stretched loom bands across pegs to make patterns.
Children also enjoy playing in the home corner, setting up homes for the dinosaurs, construction with stars, musical instruments and a marble run.
