At Forest school this week the children found some sticks and collected different natural items from the floor. After attaching their items on the end of the stick with string, elastic bands or ribbon they made wands.
A very long fat worm captured the children’s interest and they carefully made a home for it.
Through playful yoga poses and a rhyming picture book we introduced the children to yoga, giving them the tools to breathe, move, relax and acknowledge the feelings they experience.
At the allotments the children used their large motor skills to smash the chalk into pieces with a mallet.
Whilst using ‘gardening equipment’ at the green we talked to the postman, watched the ice cream van drive by and waved to the tractors. A couple sat on the seat remarked how it was like a scene from a Postman Pat episode.
